MAQ Sonar’s 1000 square meter assembly facility in Finch, Ontario, Canada houses a 100 cubic meter acoustic test tank for test and calibration after assembly. All MAQ Sonar components are manufactured in Canada with final hand assembly at this location.
In 1978, MAQ Sonar designed and built the first Omni Sonar manufactured for the commercial fishing industry. With more than 30 years of experience, we have continued to listen to and develop for the fisheries of the world.
Our Research and Development team apply their combined creative talents to ensure that the MAQ Sonar system will meet and exceed the industry demands today and in the future. Our strong and stable platform design has allowed us to provide performance enhancing feature upgrades to our customers for many years now.
Each MAQ Sonar system is carefully crafted with pride and attention to detail. Individual components are fully inspected and tested throughout the process to ensure the quality, reliability and performance expected of a MAQ Sonar product before being promoted to the system level. Only after many days of rigorous testing and temperature cycling in our heat chamber is a system carefully packed for shipment.
